Kurt Starkey

Artist Bio I have always had a passion for art, even as a youngster. I studied art at Cerritos Junior College in Southern California. I then traveled the western US, began a 40 year career with the US Post Office, met and married my wife, raised a son and daughter. I recently retired and renewed my passion for art, and now I can't stop. In just a few months of picking up a brush again, I have won "Best of Show" at the first annual "Au Naturale" competition hosted by Yosemite Sierra Artists, and "Honorable Mention" at Yosemite Gateway Art Gallery 5, 52nd annual art show (Great Horned Owl), both in Oakhurst, CA. I'm looking forward to creating, learning, and expanding my creative talents in the future.
