Penny Otwell
Biographical Info I am fascinated with the textures achieved in oil paint and the fact that oil paint comes from earth pigments that I make into landscapes. I use palette knives, brushes, scrapers and more with a signature style of painting outdoors. I love to draw and design paintings with color that expresses my love for the Sierra Nevada and Central California. I've lived in Yosemite, El Portal, and Mariposa for sixty years and am still painting "en plein air."
