Ren Lee

Artist Bio Ren Lee is a reformed corporate designer now living the life of a ceramic goddess, balancing her karma and focusing on the joy of creating. She is inspired by our shared creatureness, which expresses as strange humanoids, interpretations of mythical being, sly and judgmental animals, and an occasional vessel. Her work is amusing, relateable, and sometimes nefarious, as is the history of humanity. She holds an MFA in graphic design and a PhD in Advertising, has worked as a field biologist, graphic designer, corporate creative director, specialty crop association director, and olive oil producer in previous lives, and spends her spare time promoting ceramic artists in California. She is thrilled to be part of the YSA Gallery.
