Yosemite Sierra Artists Planned Giving Opportunities
Yosemite Sierra Artists is a 501(c) (3) charitable non-profit organization which offers a variety of artistic activities, doing so for more than 50 years. You can help to ensure its continued ability to enrich our mountain communities by allocating a portion of your estate (in percentage or specified dollars) to YSA in your estate plan (will or trust). Other types of planned gifts, such as charitable gift annuities, can be a bit more complicated, but can be created with the help of a legal professional.
Leave a legacy. Please remember Yosemite Sierra Artists in your will. If you already have a will or a trust, a quick phone call to your legal professional is all you’ll need to add a charitable gift. If you don’t yet have a will, please consider creating one and including YSA.
To leave a charitable gift in your Will, simply share this sentence with your financial planner or legal professional:
“I bequeath $________ or ___% of my estate to YOSEMITE SIERRA ARTISTS, P.O. BOX 838, OAKHURST, CA 93644.”
As well, there are other ways you can leave a lasting legacy:
- You can plan a legacy gift that will take effect only after your obligations are fulfilled.
- You can gift assets subject to higher taxation and leave more to your family.
- You can make a gift from your IRA as a “qualified charitable distribution.”
- You can bequeath appreciated securities without incurring capital gains.
- You can leave a gift of life insurance.
- Your financial planner or legal professional can discuss these and other ways to leave a lasting legacy.
