Kris Kessey

Artist Bio Kris is a California artist specializing in photography and
sculpture. She recently retired from teaching art at Fresno
State University after 20 years and from Fresno City College
after 10 years. Her passion for photography began at age
14 when she discovered her father's Leica camera.
During her school years, Kris focused primarily on 3D media.
She has a BA degree in Fine Art Photography with a minor in
Botany from the University of Nevada, Reno. After traveling
and working various jobs across the U.S., she pursued a
Masters degree at Fresno State, concentrating on Sculptural
Media. While her work is primarily inspired by nature, she also
explores figurative and culturally inspired themes. Kris enjoys
traveling, spending time in nature, working in her studio,
gardening and being curious.
