About Mary Beth

About Mary Beth:
Mary Beth Harrison is a California Impressionist painter living in North Fork California. She became an artist sitting at her childhood  kitchen table, drawing  dinosaurs and Dr. Suess characters with her siblings. She was blessed to have supportive parents, 4 years with an excellent high school art teacher, and  wonderful college instructors. She loves combining plein air oil painting, photography, and studio work to create memorable works of art that depict the stories of people, events, and moments to remember in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. She says, “The joy that bubbles up inside me as I paint is what I wish to convey in my paintings.” Mary Beth is an active member of the Yosemite Sierra Artists and displays her work at the Yosemite Gateway Art Center in Oakhurst and Jennie’s Garden in North Fork.
