How much are your membership fees?
Yosemite Sierra Artists is $40/year for individuals, $60/families in the same household, and $20/year for students. With membership you get discounts for entry into YSA sponsored shows, the ability to participate in various YSA groups, art gatherings, and more! Click here to join.
Does my art have to be Yosemite-related?
No, you can make any kind of art in any medium. We have Yosemite in our name because we cover the communities in and around Yosemite National Park.
Does the club accept photographers, too?
Of course! Photography is an art, and we welcome artists in all media. We have a monthly photo group where photographers of all levels get together and share their work.
I’d love to volunteer, how can I help?
We’d love you to volunteer! We always have openings to help organize events, art shows, and help us market our club. Contact the YSA president for more information.
How do I enter one of your art shows?
YSA sponsors several shows throughout the year. For the annual YSA Anniversary show and Au Naturale, you have to register for a free account on SmarterEntry.com and submit your work using that platform. All show pages will give you links to enter.
For Visions of Self – our annual show for women artists, you’ll enter on MettaGallery.com.

How should I prepare my piece for an art show?
If your piece hangs on a wall, make sure it’s securely wired. We do not accept sawtooth hangers. If your piece is three-dimensional, like sculpture, please coordinate with the show runner on how to display your piece.

How do I show at the YSA Gallery?
To show at the Yosemite Sierra Artists gallery in Oakhurst, California, you must first become a member of the club. Then, you have to fill out an application and submit it to gallery@yosemitesierraartists.org. If we have space available, we’ll make room for you. Otherwise, you’ll be put on a waiting list for the next opening. All artists who show at the gallery are required to sit two 3-hour shifts per month. More Information.

Do you accept beginners?
Absolutely! Yosemite Sierra Artists welcomes people at all stages of their artistic endeavors, and in any medium. Check out our JOIN page to get started.
Can I just show up to one of your art groups?
YES! Check our Calendar for our various monthly art groups: Live Model Portrait Group, Plein Air, or Photography Group. Some groups have a small fee that you can pay at the event. You may attend our event as a guest before deciding to become a YSA member.
