Rachelle Rose
Artist Bio
Hi! My name is Rachelle Rose (aka Rachro), and I’m originally from Texas, shaped by decades in the Pacific Northwest. I have been immersed in visual arts, performing arts, and music for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by psychedelic art, fine art, abstract coloring books, and the treasures of my father’s metal recycling scrapyard, where I learned to see beauty and possibility in things that others might discard.
For more than 25 years, I have painted psychedelic, abstract mandalas on records, giving damaged vinyl a second life through vibrant color, pattern, and intricate, kaleidoscopic detail. I am passionate about exploring folk art traditions from cultures around the world, drawing inspiration from natural forms and patterns, the skies, animals, and the rich variety of flora and fauna around the planet. My creative practice also includes watercolor, acrylic painting, mixed media, and stained-glass mosaics.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in fine art, with minors in music and elementary education. Although I have now spent most of my life in the Pacific Northwest, California has always been my second home—a place deeply connected to my childhood, family, friends, and heart.
I continue to explore the connections between nature, folk art, and the unexpected beauty of repurposed materials, always looking for new ways to bring these influences together in my work. Thank you for viewing my art creations!
